Pretty soon I'll have My Happy Heart published, the book I wrote about how you can easily fill your life with lots of love, joy and happiness; simply by collecting heart-warming messages from your friends.
One of the techniques I describe in My Happy Heart for writing these heart focused messages, is the creating of multi-sensory poetry. I developed Poetry Writer as a tool to supplement the book.
Focusing on your heart will benefit you in many ways:

- increased general feeling of love, joy and happiness.
One way to successfully achieve heart coherence is to write and read messages from the heart. Poetry Writer is a Happy Hearts Software tool, designed to help you write poetry. Not just any poetry but descriptive words from the heart, using your five senses.
Poetry from the Senses
There's a special technique for writing heart-warming messages which is available to everyone as all it takes is using your senses. Follow your ears, your eyes, your nose in examining your feelings and you'll turn out sheer poetry. And it's a fun way to access your heart as well!
You perceive the world primarily via your sense organs. Impressions come in via your eyes, ears, nose, mouth and skin. You experience these impressions as either pleasant or unpleasant. That's how your body senses them. After that you give them words and then they become feelings.
Friendships form a source of feelings. Put those feelings to paper and you have a message from your heart. How does your friendship look? How does it taste? How does it smell? How does it sound? How does it feel?
Use all your senses to give expression to the feelings that you have for this person. You can describe your friendship in general, or light up a particular quality that makes this friendship special for you.
- 'Our friendship sounds like…'
- 'Your generosity smells like…'
- 'Going for a walk together feels like…'
Describe those feelings in the rich symbolic language of the senses and you have pure poetry!
Heart Focus techniques will make you perceive the world in a more harmonious way. A conscious focus on the heart area through breathing exercises, remembering happy moments and all the other tricks you can use, will assist you in writing down your true feelings. And thus ensure that the receivers of your artistic endeavors will feel the authenticity of it in their own hearts!
Using Poetry Writer
This dead-easy to use software tool basically asks you to enter the lines of your poem and press the save button. Your work is saved as a readily formatted HTML file which you can print out, send through email or publish on-line.

Download Instructions
You don't have to do a thing but clicking this link to get this program:
Now this is an instant download link! Meaning: when you right-click it with your mouse and select Save target as..., you will instantly download a file called: PoetryWriter-setup.zip.
You'll be asked to confirm downloading first and then to specify a location. Save it to a location where you can easily find it, like 'My Software'. You need to expand the file first (you'll most likely have a default unzipper installed).
You'll then see a file called PoetryWriter-setup.exe and by double-clicking the name, it will install the software on your hard disk under Program Files\Poetry Writer.
Please don't change the destination folder! If you do, the links inside the software will be broken thus disabling the use of "Inspire It!".
You can access the software from your start menu under 'All Programs' - 'Poetry Writer'. You'll find all instructions for use on your first screen when you run the program. Have fun and let me know how you like it, okay!
Branding Poetry Writer
Give Poetry Writer away with a personal message inside the software! This is called branding and it allows you to add a couple of lines of text promoting your own products or services. Then give it away to your friends and customers for free and watch how it becomes a viral tool for you as well!
Since Poetry Writer comes as an installer file, the only way to brand the software with your message is to do this myself manually. So you'll have to supply me with some info: the message you want inside!

Make Software Yourself!
Do you have any idea how easy it is to create this kind of software? I confess I did spice it up with some javascript features, but the basics are pretty darn simple. All you need to know is a little HTML and you'll have your first program up and running within the hour.
I happen to have fallen in love with making software myself. I use it to create my newsletters, write my invoices, create fun little heart focus tools and many more things. So late 2004 I opened another website which explains how to make build own software the easy way. I offer a free eCard service whith images from My Happy Heart and some other sources. You can pick any picture you like to create your eCard. In the form instructions I even included a small Heart Focus reminder to help you settle your nerves when it's lovers and admirees you're addressing!
